Abstract

Lacquer, a traditional craft with a deep oriental flavor, has a history of several thousand years. But nowadays, due to the rapid development of modernization and technology, this ancient craft seems to have a distance from the daily life of modern people and gradually faded out of the public's sight. In the current social atmosphere, people are increasingly pursuing personalized and trendy lifestyles, which has led many advanced brands to see the great potential of combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion. Against this backdrop of cultural diversity and globalization, this study intends to explore how lacquer art can be perfectly integrated with elements of contemporary fashion. By deeply analyzing the core elements of fashion and lacquer art, it is hoped that a new design paradigm can be created that can be adapted to the needs and trends of modern consumers. This thesis plan is divided into three studies. Study 1 is the extraction of the elements of fashion lacquer art, and through expert interviews and questionnaires, the elements of fashionable lacquer art products are derived. Study 2 will use the elements extracted from Study 1 to construct a design model for fashion lacquer products by referring to existing fashion models and cultural commodity design models, and then conduct product design according to this model. In Study 3, the products produced in Study 2 and the products on the market were used as the targets, and expert interviews and consumer surveys were conducted again to verify and modify the fashionable lacquer art product design model constructed in Study 2. Combining lacquer art and modern fashion can not only provide designers and craftsmen with a new direction of thinking and creation but also arouse the public's interest and passion for lacquer art. The model developed in this book can be used as a reference for designers and craftsmen in the development of lacquer products, arousing people's interest in lacquer products and freeing lacquer art from the dilemma of gradual decline.
